I personally would go with the 312 on the merits that it does not have "automatic" on the dial. Not too keen with the faux patina, although the blue seconds looks great with 1312. Size wise, yes 312 is heavy and thicker but it does give a wrist presence. I think the lugs and crown protector are noticeably thinner as well on the 1312. Large and commanding on my 7 1/2" wrist. looks a lot bigger than it . On the wrist, the watch seems to wear slightly smaller than its actual size, but with an overall great appearance thanks to the new dial with 'ecru' luminova and blue seconds hand.

The 320 which you've seen is of course a 312 with GMT, though the 320 has a couple of other nice features, a 'seconds reset' when you .
